I have seen those papers. 3-4g of EPA/DHA seems to be the sweet spot for cell membrane permeability.

Also look into Taurine. 3-5g a day helps with electrolyte regulation and reduces cramping.

The Sodium-Potassium pump is what regulates cellular fluid. If you have low Potassium, Sodium will cause way more edema.
