Lower Back Spasms After Deadlifting

Post by MoscowBarbell »

Locked up after my third set today. Can barely stand up straight. Is it a disk or just a strain?

If there is no radiation down the legs, it is likely just a muscular spasm. Relax.

A pop without nerve pain is usually just a facet joint or ligament tweak. Rest up.

And no painkillers if you can help it. Pain is a useful signal right now.
