I want to build muscle but also stay fit. When is the best time for cardio?

Weights first, then cardio. Save your energy for lifting.

I agree. Heavy lifting requires the most glucose.

A light 5-min warmup is okay before weights though.

Low intensity steady state is the way to go.

Keep it under 30 mins after your workout.
