My overhead press is stuck at 90kg forever. Has anyone utilized cluster configurations successfully to break pressing limits?

Yes! Try loading 85% of your max. Run 4 clusters of 1-1-1 reps with 20 seconds internal racked rest between singles.

Clusters allow you to collect high neural volume at maximum intensities without technical breakdown.

Make sure you rerack clean. Do not stand there holding the weight overhead or in front rack during the cluster rest.

I like doing them out of safety pins right at my sticking point. Unbelievable neural adaptation.

Pin presses are amazing but brutal on the elbows if you slam into the rack structures.

I tried the 1-1-1 protocol just now on my midday session. Hit 85kg with complete ease.

Incredible! The brief inter-set rest allows ATP stores to replenish just enough for clean reps.
