Is the 4th-week deload a myth? New research suggests fatigue can be managed better with reactive deloading.

Reactive deloading requires high self-awareness. Most people ignore the signs until they snap.

Autoregulation is the future. Use RPE or bar speed to determine if you need a break.

Does anyone here actually enjoy deload weeks? I feel like I am shrinking.

Should we cut volume or intensity during a deload? Literature seems split.

Cut volume by 50%, keep intensity high. Keeps the neural patterns sharp.

I prefer cutting intensity. My joints need the break more than my CNS.

I usually just take 4 days off entirely. Total rest.

Total rest can lead to "detraining" feeling. I prefer active deload.
