Old School Grip Training Techniques
Everyone uses straps these days and it is killing forearm development. Back in the day, we did timed holds, plate pinches, and thick bar work. If you cannot hold the weight, you cannot lift it. I recommend adding 10 minutes of dedicated grip work at the end of your pulls. Plate pinches for 30 seconds are a personal favorite for building that crushing hand strength.

Towel pullups are another great one. Hard to get many reps but the grip fry is real.

Do those hand grippers actually work for deadlift strength?

Grippers help with crushing strength, but for deadlifts you need static hold strength. Stick to holding heavy bars.
