The Bulgarian Method in a Commercial Gym Setting

Post by RedSteel92 »

Training to a daily max every single day is the hallmark of the Bulgarian method. In a commercial gym, this can be tough with equipment availability and the looks people give you. The key is to manage your "daily max" so it is not a true grinders every day, but a technical max. You have to be smart about your accessories or skip them entirely. Has anyone successfully run a squat every day program in a standard gym?

I did it for 3 months. Gained 20kg on my squat but my knees were screaming by the end. You need perfect recovery.

It is a specialist program. Not for everyone, and definitely not for people with stressful jobs.

Easier to do in a garage gym where you can just walk out and lift whenever. Commercial gyms make it a chore.
