Growth Hormone Markers: IGF-1 Testing Protocol

Post by MedellinMuscle »

Deep Dive into IGF-1:

I am testing my IGF-1 levels next week to see how my recovery protocol is holding up.

Fasting for 12 hours prior.

No training for 24 hours to avoid acute spikes.

Testing at 8:00 AM sharp.
Does anyone else track this regularly to adjust their sleep and nutrition?

IGF-1 is very stable compared to GH, so your protocol is solid.

My levels always drop when my carbs are too low.

That makes sense. Insulin and IGF-1 are closely linked.

Are you using any secretagogues or just natural?

Just natural. Optimizing sleep and zinc/magnesium.
